Job description
At NerdWallet, we are on a mission to bring clarity to all of life’s financial decisions, and every great mission requires a team of exceptional Nerds. We have built an inclusive, flexible culture where you are empowered to grow, take thoughtful risks, and be yourself. Whether remote or in office, we support how you thrive best and invest in your well-being, development, and ability to make meaningful impact because when one Nerd grows, we all do.
Through our Advisor Match marketplace, we connect consumers with trusted financial advisors. As we scale this vertical, we are advancing NerdWallet’s mission by making financial guidance more accessible. The Partnerships Senior Manager (RIA) will play a critical role in shaping and growing this marketplace by building, closing, and expanding partnerships with Registered Investment Advisors. This role combines strategic ownership with hands-on execution, driving both new partner acquisition and long-term partner growth while influencing the pricing, product, and go-to-market strategy that powers the marketplace.
We are seeking a relationship-oriented leader with strong business judgment and a focus on results. You build trust with senior stakeholders, navigate complex negotiations with clarity, and manage multiple priorities while maintaining momentum. You use data to inform decisions, identify opportunities for growth, and communicate value effectively across diverse audiences. You are motivated by impact and accountability, and you partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a strong advisor experience and scale the marketplace in a thoughtful, sustainable way.
This role reports to the CEO & President, NerdWallet Advisory.
Where you can make an impact:
Own the full RIA partnership lifecycle, from identifying and engaging prospective partners through negotiation, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management, with accountability for revenue and growth targets
Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of RIA partners using a multi-channel approach including direct outreach, referrals, conferences, and industry relationships
Develop and execute joint business plans with partners to expand engagement, increase partner investment, and drive long-term marketplace growth
Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across partner organizations, serving as a strategic advisor and identifying opportunities to deepen partnerships over time
Design and refine scalable processes, pricing approaches, and partnership playbooks that improve onboarding efficiency and partner performance
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Operations to test and optimize messaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategies based on performance data and partner feedback
Bring market and partner insights into NerdWallet to inform product development, pricing strategy, and overall marketplace experience
Develop deep expertise in the RIA ecosystem and competitive landscape to strengthen NerdWallet’s positioning and targeting strategy
Represent NerdWallet at industry events and conferences to build relationships, strengthen brand presence, and generate qualified pipeline
Your experience:
10+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, enterprise sales, or a related role with a focus on driving revenue growth
Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder partnership or sales cycles from initial outreach through close and ongoing relationship management
Proven track record of growing existing partner relationships by increasing engagement, revenue, or long-term value
Familiarity with the RIA, wealth management, financial services, or fintech ecosystem; experience working directly with RIAs is strongly preferred
Experience influencing go-to-market strategy, pricing, or partnership structure in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and tailor messaging to different audiences
Comfort using data and performance metrics to evaluate success, identify opportunities, and inform decision-making
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, evolving environment while maintaining organization and follow-through
Willingness to travel domestically up to 40% of the time to support partner development and industry engagement
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
